Students and teachers from the Lake Geneva Middle School S.O.U.L. (Service and Outreach Uniting Leaders) Program dropped off the fruits of their labors. The students, along with advisor Jennifer Kinney, collected over 1,000 pounds of foodstuffs in a five-day period. Amazing! Seeing the goodwill and selflessness of our local students was truly heartwarming for our volunteers and clients. We are grateful.

Yeti from the Abominable Snow Race stopped by to help at the Lake Geneva Food Pantry and posed for some photos as well. Racers will take part in a winter themed course and raise funds for the Pantry. See Abominable Snow Race on Facebook or the Event Post for more information on how you can take part. Or you can donate directly HERE. The Lake Geneva Food Pantry gratefully accepted 2 huge boxes of food donations and a generous check from the Peck & Weiss Christmas drive. Thank you for helping us to make the holidays brighter for the needy in our community!
The Lake Geneva Jaycees arrived today with food to provide the needy in our community with delicious Thanksgiving meals.
Thank you so much! All of these items were collected at the Lake Geneva Fire Department and then added to the Lake Geneva Middle School donation. If you see someone from the Fire Department, please thank them for helping to fill up our shelves! Thank you to the Lake Geneva Middle School for your AMAZING donation! The Lake Geneva Food Pantry is extremely grateful for the generous donation from Piggly Wiggly, which was made possible by all the selfless “rounding up” customer donations. We are open and here to serve the needy rain, sunshine or snow! Kayden turned 10 on 5/10, her golden birthday. Although she wasn't able to celebrate due to needing to stay home, she had the idea to have friends donate to the Lake Geneva Food Pantry. Because of her video to friends and the idea to "invite" others, she was able to collect over 100 items and donate over $600! Thank you Kayden for your amazing donation! Walworth County Food Pantry delivered our commodities, having said they have room in their super new truck when they get theirs. An awesome group of people from the Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva assembled to carry a truck load of donations inside, downstairs, and helped put everything away! We were SO BLESSED by this outpouring of generosity by ALL! See the original post on Facebook HERE The DNR “Battle of the Schools” has already gifted the Lake Geneva Food pantry with over 400 lbs. of food!
Thank you so much Badger High School students and the DNR! |
